Beta terms
Effective 7 October 2026
Patchkind is operated by The Vancouver Agency, a trade name of 1232216 B.C. Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Questions: support@patchkind.com. Our privacy notice explains data handling.
A free beta
Owner workspaces use ChatGPT sign-in. Access may require an invitation and is subject to our access controls. Sending feedback does not require an account. The beta is free; requesting access does not automatically grant a workspace. Features may change or be unavailable. There is no service-level agreement, uptime commitment or guaranteed response or fix time. Keep your own copies of work you need.
Who can own a workspace
You must be at least 16 to own a Patchkind workspace. If you are under the age of majority where you live (19 in British Columbia), you need a parent or guardian’s permission. Reporters follow each product owner’s site rules and applicable consent requirements. The widget does not verify age.
Your project, your decisions
Only connect products and repositories you are authorized to manage. Explain your feedback collection to your users, obtain any permissions needed for their information, and share only material you have the right to use. You decide what to collect and provide your users’ notice; Patchkind processes reports for you. You remain responsible for your product, its privacy notices and changes you publish.
Read and approve the plan before starting a coding run. Approval and Run are separate actions. Runs use your own GitHub Actions and Claude credentials, under those providers’ terms and usage limits. You are responsible for their charges or subscription usage, repository permissions and workflow settings. Patchkind does not receive your coding credential and never merges a PR.
AI can misunderstand a report, make an incorrect change, ask a question or stop. Check the evidence, code and test results yourself before merging or publishing. A passing check is not a promise that a change is safe or correct. Stop or disconnect requests may not cancel work already running in GitHub; check there too.
Your material and permission to use it
You keep your rights in what you submit. By submitting it, you grant 1232216 B.C. Ltd. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display and process it only to operate Patchkind for you and the relevant product owner. This includes preparing plans and sharing selected evidence with the providers and assistants authorized as described in the privacy notice. We may let those providers use it for those purposes. We do not sell it or use it for unrelated advertising. The licence lasts only as needed for those purposes and the disclosed retention/deletion process. You must have authority to grant it.
As between you and Patchkind, we claim no ownership of your existing code or the changes returned to your repository. Provider terms and third-party rights still apply. Do not submit secrets, confidential third-party material or data needing an agreement we have not arranged. Patchkind does not scan or redact submissions for secrets.
Private progress links work for anyone who has the link. Keep them private. Sending a report is not a promise that a feature will be built.
Acceptable use
Do not use Patchkind for unlawful content, harassment, spam, impersonation, unauthorized access or attempts to obtain other people’s secrets. Do not bypass access limits or use connected workflows to attack another system. Report suspected security problems to support rather than testing against other owners’ data.
Leaving or suspending access
You can stop using Patchkind, revoke assistant connections, disconnect a repository and delete feedback or projects in the workspace. Project deletion is blocked while a coding run is active; finish, stop or abandon it first, and check GitHub for work that may still be running. Deleting a project removes its local run history, not copies in GitHub. Account removal is a manual support request: we verify you and review your profile, projects and remaining run records. It does not delete your ChatGPT account. Copies already sent to GitHub, an AI provider or another destination must be managed there separately.
Before ending the beta, or suspending access for any reason other than abuse or security, we give 30 days’ notice, and you can export your data through the workspace or support during those 30 days. We may restrict access immediately for abuse or security.
Beta service “as is”
To the extent permitted by law, Patchkind is provided “as is” and “as available” during the beta, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, fit for a particular purpose or that AI output will be correct. You must review and test changes before using them. Nothing here excludes protections that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Limit of liability
To the extent allowed by law, 1232216 B.C. Ltd.’s total liability arising from Patchkind is limited to the greater of CA$100 or the fees you paid us for Patchkind in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where the law prohibits it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without taking away mandatory protections that apply where you live.
Changes and effective date
These terms are effective 7 October 2026. We give 30 days’ notice of material changes on Patchkind or using contact details you have provided, with an opportunity to stop using Patchkind and export your data before they take effect. Shorter notice may be needed for urgent security or legal changes. Revised terms will show their effective date. Policy notices are handled by the operator; this beta does not send automated policy-change emails.
